How can I create short link?
There are three ways to create short links on Zoho Social. You can either use the default URL shortener - zURL, or integrate your bit.ly, and custom domain.
 
To configure the default URL shortener for your brand, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under General Settings, click Preference -> URL Settings.
  3. Click the toggle next to Auto Shorten URLs to automatically shorten the length of URLs added to the compose window.
  4. Select the default URL shortener you want to use.
Once you've selected the default URL shortener, the same will be used to shorten URLs automatically as you paste them to the compose window. 
If you're using a custom domain to shorten your URL, follow these steps: 
  1. Click New Post in the top-right corner of your Zoho Social dashboard.
  2. Add the long URL to the compose window.
  3. Click URL Properties to access the URL settings.
  4. Switch the toggles for URL Shortening and URL tracking if necessary.
  5. Select the domain you want to use to shorten the URL from the drop-down.
  6. Enter a vanity name.
  7. Verify the link preview, and click Apply.


If you're an admin in your Zoho Social account, you can also access the URL settings to shorten URLs.
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under General Settings, click Preference -> URL Settings.
  3. Click + Shorten URL.
  4. Choose the domain you want to use to shorten the URL from the drop-down.
  5. Enter the long URL.
  6. Enter a vanity name.
  7. Click Generate. 
Can I disable URL shortener for a particular post/ all posts?
To disable URL shortener for particular post, simply click on the URL shortener icon on the bottom of the compose window. When the icon is orange, it indicates that it is enabled. When the icon is grey, it indicates that URL shortening is disabled. To enable it again for future posts, simply click on the greyed out icon. 
You can also disable the toggle for Auto shorten URLs and disable it for  all posts under Settings -> Preference -> URL Settings. 
Does the default URL shortener come with all plans?
Yes, zurl is available across all plans. Whereas, Bit.ly integration is available for plans Professional and above, and custom domain integration is available only for plans Premium and above. 
Is there a way I can shorten URLs for bulk-scheduled content automatically?
Sorry, you cannot automatically shorten URLs on posts that have been bulk-scheduled. You will have to individually open each draft and shorten any URLs present, before they go out for publishing. 
Why can't I see Bit.ly or my custom domain under Brand Settings?
You can see the Bit.ly and custom domain options under your Brand Settings only if you have completed the following steps:

a. You are on a paid Zoho Social plan
b. You have linked your Bit.ly or custom domain account to Zoho Social
Can you shorten a link before posting via Zoho Social?
Yes! You can shorten your links before posting them via Zoho Social using any of the three available link shortener options - zurl, bit.ly or your custom domain. To shorten your links automatically as you paste them to the compose window, you can enable to Auto Shorten URL option under Settings -> Preference -> URL Settings. If this setting is disabled, you will still be able to shorten URLs by clicking  (URL Properties) from the compose window. You can also go directly to the URL Settings page and click + Shorten URL to shorten a long URL.
