Mentioning profiles and pages in your social media posts helps increase visibility, notify the mentioned account, and improve engagement. From Zoho Social, you can tag supported profiles and pages while composing a post on both the web and mobile applications.
Currently, Zoho Social supports tagging for:
- Facebook Pages
- X profiles
- LinkedIn Pages
- LinkedIn Profiles
- Bluesky profiles
- Instagram profiles
How to mention profiles/pages
You can mention a profile/page while composing a post.
To mention a profile/page:
- Type @ followed by the page/profile name.
- Select the correct page/profile from the list of matching suggestions.
- Continue composing your post.
Note:
- Instagram does not provide profile suggestions while composing posts. Ensure that you enter the correct username. If the username is incorrect, it will be published as plain text instead of a tag.
- LinkedIn profile mentions are available only for your LinkedIn connections or followers.
- Tagging is not supported for YouTube and Google Business Profile posts. You cannot @mention profiles or pages on these networks from Zoho Social.
Tagging Instagram when publishing to multiple networks
When publishing the same post to multiple social networks, Instagram tagging behaves differently on the web and mobile applications.
On the web application
If you're publishing to multiple networks, the username tagged on the last selected supported network is automatically used for Instagram.
For example, if you tag @Zylker on LinkedIn, Zoho Social searches for the same username on Instagram:
- If the Instagram profile exists, it is tagged automatically.
- If no matching profile is found, the username is published as plain text.
On the mobile app
When publishing from the Zoho Social mobile app, you can manually edit the Instagram tag before publishing and select the correct profile.
