Campaign URL Builder
The Campaign URL Builder tool is used to create custom URLs specific to your campaigns. These URLs contain tracking parameters that will help to identify where the traffic to your webpage is coming from by understanding keywords, source, medium, name of the campaign, and others. Analyzing these parameters in detail will help you know which medium is generating better engagement, so that you can allocate your marketing budget and resources accordingly. You can use different links for your ad variants, emails, or landing pages, and then decide which one to continue based on the performance. Assessing this will help you optimize your marketing strategies and reduce your spend.
Using the Campaign URL Builder tool on the Social Toolkit, the following parameters can be assessed:
- Name: The name of the campaign. (For eg., new year sale)
- Medium: The marketing medium specific to the campaign. (For eg., social or email)
- Source: The source from where the traffic is coming. (For eg., Facebook, Instagram, or Google)
- Content: The specific content or call to action (CTA) that led a user to your webpage, or the distinction between the variations of content used in your ads or links.
- Term: The keywords you're targeting with your campaign, or the keywords that will drive traffic to your webpage.
- Campaign ID: A unique identifier given to your campaign to help differentiate it.
The more relevant UTM parameters you add to your link, the more detailed and accurate your tracking data will be.
Generating these campaign URLs from the Social Toolkit can be done in just a few clicks.
Generating a URL with tracking parameters
- On the Campaign URL Builder dashboard, attach the link you want to create the campaign URL for.
- Click Proceed.
- Add all the essential parameters listed specific to your campaign - name, medium, source, content, term, and campaign ID.
- Click Create Campaign URL.
- Copy the generated link from the right-side of your dashboard or publish it directly from here via Zoho Social to your social networks.
