How to enable IMAP in Zoho Mail

What is IMAP?

Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) is an email protocol used by mail clients to sync messages to and from a mail server. IMAP is the most widely used email protocol and has been preferred by many users because of its capability to sync emails across multiple devices. With IMAP, you can access and manage your emails that are on the server directly via the Internet.

To enable IMAP access to your email account

  1. Login to Zoho Mail
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Navigate to Mail Accounts and click the primary email address from the Mail accounts listing.
  4. Under the IMAP section, check the IMAP Access checkbox.
  5. You can also choose to enable Auto-Expunge, Include Archived emails, and configure Folder Settings.
  6. Scroll down and click Save.
