Scan business card on iOS
Business cards can be scanned in two ways:
- Tap the + icon in the homescreen. Tap Contact, then Scan a Business card.
- Go to Tools in the bottom-left corner of the homescreen. Tap Contacts and open the contact module. Tap New Contact, then Scan a Business card.
- On the next screen, choose the permission option for Zoho Solo to access your phone camera.
- Note: The camera permission options
- Allow - Choose this option if you want to give Zoho Solo access to the camera.
- Don't Allow - Choose this option if you do not want to give Zoho Solo access to the camera. Selecting this option will restrict camera access for Zoho Solo, preventing the scanning of cards.
- Place the business card under the camera. The card will be auto-scanned.
- If the auto-scan does not happen, tap the circle below.
- Once the card image is captured, tap Keep Scan to add the card as a contact or tap Retake to scan again.
- On the next screen, verify the details and tap Done in the top-right corner.
The scanned contact will be added and listed along with other contacts.
Scan business card from Photos on iOS
Business cards can be scanned in two ways:
- Tap the + icon in the homescreen. Tap Contact, then Scan a Business card.
- Go to Tools in the bottom-left corner of the homescreen. Tap Contacts and open the contact module. Tap New Contact, then Scan a Business card.
- On the next screen, choose the permission option for Zoho Solo to access your phone camera.
- Allow - Choose this option if you want to give Zoho Solo access to the camera.
- Don't Allow - Choose this option if you do not want to give Zoho Solo access to the camera. Selecting this option will restrict camera access for Zoho Solo, preventing the scanning of cards.
- Tap the image in the bottom-left corner to open the gallery.
- Choose the business card that needs to be added as a contact in Zoho Solo.
- Verify the details and tap Done in the top-right corner.
The scanned contact will be added and listed along with other contacts.
Scan business card on Android
- Tap on the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the home page.
- Go to the Contact module.
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Tap Scan Card.
- On the next screen, choose the permission option for Zoho Solo to access your phone camera.
- While using the app - Choose this option if you want to give Zoho Solo access to the camera only when the app is in use.
- Only this time - Choose this option if you want to give Zoho Solo access to the camera only this time.
- Don't allow - Choose this option if you do not want to give Zoho Solo access to the camera at any time. Selecting this option will restrict camera access for Zoho Solo, preventing the scanning of cards.
- Place the business card under the camera and tap the circle below to add the contact details into Zoho Solo.
- Verify the details and tap Done in the top-right corner.
The scanned contact will be added and listed along with other contacts.
Scan business card from gallery on Android
- Tap on the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the home page.
- Go to the Contact module.
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Tap Scan Card.

- Choose the permission option for Zoho Solo to access your photos from the gallery.
- Allow limited access - Choose this option if you want to give Zoho Solo access to only the photos you select.
- Allow all - Choose this option if you want to give Zoho Solo access to all the photos in your gallery.
- Don't allow - Choose this option if you do not want to give Zoho Solo access to any photos in your gallery. Selecting this option will restrict gallery access for Zoho Solo, preventing the scanning of cards.
- Choose the business card that needs to be added as a contact in Zoho Solo.
- Verify the details and tap Done in the top-right corner.
The scanned contact will be added and listed along with other contacts.
