What is a Mileage tracker?

Note: Standard mileage rates that are eligible for tax filing are periodically set by the dedicated bodies in the government. Please refer your country's standard mileage rate set by the official bodies before configuring the mileage rates in Solo.

Configure mileage rates 

1. iOS: Go to the settings icon in the top left corner of the homescreen, tap Settings, and tap Mileage.
   

1. Android: Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the homepage. Tap Settings,  then tap Mileage Tracker.
   

1. In the Mileage Settings, choose the unit, between KM and Miles, in which distance needs to be calculated.
   
2. Default mileage rates will be available. To add a new mileage rate, tap Add new rate.
   
3. In the Start Date, choose the date from which the mileage rate is applicable.
   
4. Provide the mileage rate and tap Save.
   

Record  Mileage on iOS:    

1. Tap the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the homescreen.
   
2. Go to modules and select the Expenses module.
   
3. Tap Add Expense at the bottom, then tap Record Mileage.
   

1. Go to the Finance tab on the dashboard.
   
2. Tap Add Expense, then tap Record Mileage.
   

1. Open a Contact.
   
2. Tap Add in the bottom-left corner.
   
3. Tap Add Expense, then tap Mileage.
   

1. Tap the + icon on the homescreen.
   
2. Tap Expense, then tap Record Mileage.
   

Record Mileage on Android:  

1. Tap the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the homescreen.
   
2. Go to modules and select the Expenses module.
   
3. Tap the + icon in the bottom-right corner, then tap Record Mileage.
   

1. Go to the Finance tab on the dashboard.
   
2. Tap Add Expense, then tap Record Mileage.
   

1. Open a Contact.
   
2. Tap the + icon in the bottom-right corner, then tap Record Mileage.
   

1. Tap the + icon on the homescreen.
   
2. Tap Add Expense, then tap Record Mileage.
   

Steps to record Mileage: 

1. On the add mileage screen, select the date of the trip.
   
2. The travel expense can be calculated either by entering the total distance covered in the Distance tab or the start and end point of the odometer in the Odometer Reading tab.
   
1. Distance tab: Enter the distance traveled. Mileage rate will be auto-updated as per the configuration in the settings. The Total Amount will be calculated and displayed.
   
2. Odometer reading: Enter the start and end point of the odometer reading. The Distance,  Mileage rate, and Total Amount will be auto-populated.
   
3. If you need to edit the mileage rates that are already configured, tap Configure mileage rates.
   
4. Add any notes in the Note field.
   
5. Tap Expense for and choose the customer for whom the expense needs to be mapped.
   
6. Tap Add Attachments to add any documents related to the expense. A maximum of three attachments can be added.
   

1. Once a mileage is created, it will be listed along with other expenses in the expenses module.
   
2. You can invoice the mileage by tapping on the mileage in the expense list.
3. A mileage can not be edited once invoiced.
   
4. Once a mileage is created, it will be listed while generating reports.
