Profiles
Profiles lets you to authorize and control the access of users within a team. You can set the profile at a team level and at project level.
Team Profile
: Profile is set at a team level.
Project Profile
: Profile is set at a project level.
Zoho Sprints has a set of default profiles such as Member, Manger, Admin, View-Only Admin and Team Owner . Members have access only to the assigned work items, Managers have access to the assigned projects, Admins have access to all the projects in the team and View-Only Admins have read-only access to all the projects in a team. Team-Owner has access to all activities in the portal, including setting up integrations and upgrading/downgrading the app.
Example: Chris is a part of the XYZ team. He can be on different profiles for different projects based on his role in each project.
However, you will not be able to set profiles at projects level for users in the following profiles,
- Admin
- Team Owner
- View-only Admin
If you would like to customize profiles, you can create a new one and modify them according to your needs.
Create Profiles
- Go to Setup and click Profiles.
- Click +Profile.
- Choose the profile from which you'd like to clone.
- Describe the profile if required.
- Check Add profile users to all the projects in the team if you would like to add the users associated to that profile to all the projects in that team.
- Check Add profile users to all the sprints in the associated projects if you would like to add the users associated to that profile to all the sprints in the projects they're a part of.
- Click Create & Set Permissions if you'd like set permissions for the profile right away.
- Click Create if you would like just to create a profile.
Edit Profiles
- Go to Setup and click Profiles.
- Hover over the profile you'd like to edit and click
.
- Edit the permissions and click Save.
Delete Profiles
- Go to Setup and click Profiles.
- Hover over the user group you'd want to delete and click the
.
- Check I agree and click Yes, delete.
- Default profiles can neither be edited nor deleted.
- Empty profiles can be directly deleted. If the profile is associated to users, you will have to reassign the users to a different profile to delete them.
