FAQ on Dynamic Parameters in Zoho Survey

What is a dynamic parameter?

A dynamic parameter is a value that can be appended along with the survey URL to track its traffic.

For example, a dynamic URL parameter includes the URL, a parameter, and the parameter value. In the URL, https://asdfghj.com/poiu?email=qwerty@xyz.com, anything after the question mark (?) is the parameter, and anything after the equal sign (=) is the value assigned to the parameter. This value is passed along with the survey.

Let's assume you have multiple surveys running and in the first survey, you collected your respondent's email address. You would like to redirect the respondent to the second survey when they complete the first one, so they complete both. If you wish to identify the respondent for the second survey without asking for any personal identification details in the survey, the dynamic parameter used in the first survey finds out the respondent's email address, along with the second survey URL.
