Customize the Email Invitation Template
Overview
Personalize your email invite by customizing the header (title, logo, alignment, and colors), editing the body text, and configuring the survey link with your preferred display type(survey link or question embed), button label and button colors.
How to customize the email invitation template
- Select the required survey and click the Builder option from the left pane.
- Go to the Publish tab.
- Select the required collector or click Add New Collector.
- For a new collector, under Email Invites by Zoho Survey, click Create, then select the Create Email option to begin composing your invitation.
- For an existing collector, click Create Email to begin composing your invitation.
- Click Insert Variable in the dropdown list and set up standard and custom contact variables.
- Click the pencil icon
to edit the email template. Edit the displayed default template as required.
- The below fields can be customized to your preference:
- Title Name - The text displayed at the top of the survey email.
- Logo - Add your logo by navigating to Settings > Header > Survey Logo > Browse. Once added it will be displayed here.
- Alignment - Customize the alignment of the Survey title: Left, Center, or Right.
- Background color and font color palettes - Adjust the background and font colors of the survey email respectively.
- Body - Customize the email body and insert variables using the Insert variable dropdown list to include values like First name, Last name, Email etc. These variables will be populated from the senders list entered in the next step.
- Display Type - This option allows you to display the survey link as a customizable button or directly embed a survey question directly in the email body.
- Button - Edit the button label in the Button Label field if needed. The default label is 'Begin Survey'.
- Question Embed - Select a question from the dropdown list to embed it in the email.
- URL parameter - Click Add Parameter and set up URL Parameters.
- Footer - Check this option to display the 'Powered by Zoho' footer. Uncheck to hide it.
- Click Ok.
- Once you are done customizing the template, click the dropdown next to the edit button and select Save as template.
- Click Next to set up sender information.
