Overview

How to import contacts for email invitations

1. Select the required survey and click the Builder option from the left pane.
   
2. Go to the Publish tab. 
   
3. Select the required collector or click Add New Collector.
   
4. For a new collector, under Email Invites by Zoho Survey, click Create, then select the Create Email option to begin composing your invitation.
   
5. For an existing collector, click Create Email to begin composing your invitation.
   

            

1. Set up URL parameters, customize the email invitation template, and contact variables.
2. Click Next.
   
3. Set up Sender Information with the From Address and Sender Name and click Next.
   
4. Select the Specific contacts option in the Send to section.
   

             

1. Click the import icon in the Specific contacts option.
   
1. Click CSV and select Choose file to upload a CSV file. Once successfully imported the file name is displayed as shown.
   

                        

1. Click XLS and select Choose file to upload an XLS/XLSX/ODS file. Once successfully imported the file name is displayed as shown.
   

                        

1. Click Manual to type or copy and paste contacts manually. Insert variables, separated by commas to tag respondents in the following order.  
   
1. Email, Phone Number, First Name, Last Name, Variable1, Variable2, Variable3, Variable4, Variable5, Variable6
   
2. For the manually-inserted custom variables, responses are in the Individual Responses section of the reports.
   

Note: Email invitations will be sent as many times an email address occurs in a contact list and the corresponding invitation variables are recorded for each occurrence of the email.

                        

1. Type a name for the new group of contacts you import in the Name your new group field.
   
2. Once you're done adding the contact list, click Add to add the group to the recipient's list.
   

                    

1. You can view the contacts by selecting the Expand group option or remove this group using the Remove group option.
   

                    

1. Click Next to set up one-time or recurring invites.
