Overview

The offline survey feature in Zoho Survey allows you to collect survey responses on a device without an internet connection. For instance, if you want to collect survey responses from trade show participants in a remote location, you can administer the survey during the show and upload the responses once you're back online.

Use cases

Hospitality - Capture feedback from guests in remote resorts or cruise ships where Wi-Fi access is limited.
Retail - Get in-store experience rating using a kiosk at the exit gate so walk-in customers can rate staff helpfulness and store cleanliness anonymously.
Healthcare  - Streamline the registration process in rural clinics by allowing patients to fill out medical history forms on tablets.
Trade Shows and Events - Capture contact information and visitor preferences at booths during high-traffic exhibitions or outdoor festivals.
Education - Place a tablet kiosk in the school lobby to let parents and students rate campus facilities during open day events — no Wi-Fi needed.
Market Research - Send field agents to malls or markets with a tablet survey to capture consumer preferences for new products in low-connectivity zones.
Real Estate - Conduct property surveys at remote sites or model apartments where internet access is limited. Field agents collect visitor impressions on a tablet and sync the data when back at the office.
NGO & Non-Profit Organizations - Conduct door-to-door census or needs assessment surveys in underserved areas to ensure all voices are heard.
Technology and SaaS - Collect feature feedback from enterprise clients during on-site visits or demos where internet access is restricted. Field teams use the offline survey on a tablet and sync responses once they are back online.
