A filter helps you segregate your report data and delve deeper. This can in-turn narrow down your data to specific needs and help analyze better. Use filters to enhance your decision-making process by focusing on specific segments of your data.
A filter allows you to refine your report data, enabling a deeper analysis. By narrowing down your data to specific criteria, you can focus on what truly matters and gain more valuable insights. Leverage filters to improve your decision-making by honing in on key segments of your data.
Use cases:
A Customer Success professional proactively analyzes survey feedback to identify and address customer concerns before they escalate. For example, for a product feedback survey, if the customer expressed an unsatisfactory experience with your service, you can create a filter to target only such responses and take proper measures.
Default filters:
You can filter your responses with default options like:
- All Responses- Will show all the responses the survey has collected
- Completed Responses- Will only show survey responses for which the complete questionnaire has been completed and submitted.
- Partial Responses-Will show surveys where some questions have been answered, and is in-complete.
- Today's Responses- Will show the responses that have been submitted on the day you're viewing the reports, irrespective of whether they're completed or partial responses.

Note: Apart from default options, you can also create Custom filters.
How to Create a filter?
Go to Reports > Filters > Create Filter.
Give the details about the following:
- Filter name - Give a name for the filter you are creating. Ex - Unhappy customers.
Set at least one condition from the below.
- Response date range - Select a range of the responses submitted between the dates. You can even use the options under Pick a date based on the current date which lets you create dynamic filters based onn date range.

- Response status - Choose the response status as completed, partial, disqualified, or over quota responses.
- Collector-Choose the collector to be set as a filter
- Tags-Choose the tag you wish to use as a filter
- Language - Select a language with which the filter has to be created.
- Logic - Set logic for the questions based on which you have to perform certain actions. While setting logic, the questions, respondent variables, and custom variables can be chosen to create the required filter.

In Logic, you can select the following options to further classify the filter you wish to create
- Equal to
- Not equal to
- Less than
- Greater than
- In between
- Answered
- Not answered
In addition, while setting Logic in Filters, you have the option to Match all or Match any where Match all is AND logic while Match any is OR logic.
How to Edit a filter?
Go to Reports > Filter.
Choose the filter that has to be edited.
Click on the Edit icon on the filter.
Make the necessary edits and click SAVE to update the changes.
How to Delete a filter?
Go to Reports > Filters.
Choose the filter that has to be deleted.
Click on the Delete icon to confirm deletion.
