Response Translation
Response translation is used to translate responses to open-ended questions into a selected language. Users can add a survey language as the response language in the Language Settings section.
Use Cases
- For businesses conducting market research in different geographic regions, response translation can help gather and analyze consumer opinions in various languages, allowing businesses to get a clear, comprehensive view of their target audience across regions.
- In a multinational organisation, employees from various countries may need to respond to employee engagement surveys in their native language. The responses can then be automatically translated into a single language for unified reporting, ensuring consistency and understanding across the organisation.
- A tourism company may conduct surveys with travellers from various countries. By using response translation, the company can collect feedback in different languages and translate it into a single language for analysis, improving service delivery and customer satisfaction insights.
How To enable Response Translation
- Navigate to Survey > Settings > Languages.
- Click the Add Survey language button and add the required response translation language.
- If the required response language already exists under the survey languages, click the Add Response Language button under Response Languages
- In the new window, select the desired language from the dropdown, then click Add. The language required for response translation will be added.
Access
The response translation feature is only available for PRO and Enterprise customers.
Points to Note
The default language can also be added as the Response translation language
Only the questions listed below will be available for Response translation.

Translated content will be exported in the following sections when the translated language is selected under Reports.

When a new language is added as Response translation language, the previously connected responses will also be translated
