Survey Preferences

The Survey Preferences section enables you to show the progress bar, question numbers and previous button, enable CAPTCHA, personalize the navigation buttons' labels, and change the language of your survey's messages. Learn how you can customize response preferences here.

To show the progress bar in your survey:

  1. Click Preferences in the Settings tab. 
  2. Select the Show progress bar in the Survey Preferences section to show respondents how much of the survey is left.

To show question numbers in your survey:

  1. Click Preferences in the Settings tab.
  2. Select Show question numbers in the Survey Preferences section if you want your survey questions to be numbered.

To enable CAPTCHA in your survey:

  1. Click Preferences in the Settings tab.
  2. Select Enable CAPTCHA (Prevents action by automated software) in the Survey Preferences section to protect your surveys from automated bots. CAPTCHA stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart.

To show a previous button and allow respondents to go to previous pages:

  1. Click Preferences in the Settings tab.
  2. Select Show previous button in the Survey Preferences section to allow your respondents to go back to previous pages of the survey at any time.

To skip the first page if all the questions are prepopulated:

  1. Click Preferences in the Settings tab.
  2. Select Skip the first page if all the questions are prepopulated in the Survey Preferences section.

To customize the buttons in your survey:

  1. Click Preferences in the Settings tab.
  2. Type new names in the Submit button, Next button, and Previous button fields in the Survey Preferences section to customize them.

To set up a custom text for minimized pop-up surveys:

  1. Click Preferences in the Settings tab.
  2. Edit the default text displayed in the Continue Pop-up Survey button field in the Survey Preferences section.

Does Zoho Survey support RTL languages?

Yes, Zoho Survey supports right-to-left language format, to name a few — Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu, Persian, and Yiddish. You can select the language to view the survey messages in Settings.
