Email Authentication (DKIM Setup) in Zoho Survey - Online Help Guide

Domain Authentication

Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an email authentication method by which you can improve email deliverability. With this feature implemented, users can now authorize Zoho Survey to send emails on their behalf. This increases the chances of them being delivered without landing in spam folders when the custom sender address is used in the 'From' field, as in trigger emails. However, please note that this configuration doesn't guarantee 100% delivery of the emails, as it's ultimately the receiver's discretion whether to mark the email as spam or not.

To configure the DKIM setup:

  1. Click Manage Portal in the user info widget.
  2. Click Domain Authentication in Portal Setup. All the domains associated with the portal will be listed.
  3. Turn the knob ON to enable the domain you want to validate.
  4. Click View.
  5. Copy the Host Name and TXT Record.
  6. Open your DNS Settings page and paste the DKIM records in the appropriate fields.
  7. Publish the record.
  8. Navigate back to Zoho Survey and click Verify
    Note
The records will be checked every two days and invalid configurations will be marked unverified until they rectify the issue and verify the key again. You can also find the updates you made in the DKIM configuration in Audit Logs.

To disable the DKIM setup for a particular domain:

  1. Click Manage Portal in the user info widget.
  2. Click DKIM Configuration in Portal Setup. All the domains associated with the portal will be listed.
  3. Turn the knob off to disable the domain.
