A custom domain allows you to have your brand name on your survey URL's. Essentially, it lets you
White label and distribute surveys from your sub-domain. For example, if your company is ZylkerCorp, and you're mapping your domain with Zoho Survey, your survey participants can access your survey form at
https://survey.zylkercorp/zs/ instead of
https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/. You could even change the default favicon from Zoho Survey to any that you prefer.

Note:
Users can add multiple custom domains to Zoho Survey. This helps to switch domains based on region and enhance brand identity.
Use Cases:
Brand Segmentation : If you are an enterprise with a large product line, it would help tremendously if there were separate domains to launch surveys targeted specifically for users in each product line rather than having one domain for the entire range of products.
Event specific surveys: Having a dedicated custom domain to manage your events, conferences, or campaigns related surveys can provide the respondents with a more engaging experience and help in higher completion rates.
Geographical segmentation:
Companies operating in various regions can utilize localized domains to ensure surveys feel more relevant and inviting to specific audiences.
Pre Requisites:
Before adding a custom domain to your surveys, ensure the following prerequisites are fulfilled:
- You need to have a domain or subdomain for your company. Make sure that the DNS (Domain Name System) records for your custom domain can be edited in the domain provider's settings.
- In your domain provider's DNS records section, add a CNAME (Canonical Name) entry. You can use your domain as an alias for another domain by using a CNAME record.
- Sign in to your domain registrar's control panel and access the DNS Management Settings to change the DNS records. If you can't locate DNS Management, look for options such as Advanced Settings or Name Server Management.
- Create a CNAME (or Canonical Name) entry from your sub-domain's admin portal. Enter the hostname and point it to survey.cs.zohohost.com.
- Use the CNAME record to map your sub domain to the Hostname survey.cs.zohohost.com.
For example: survey.zylker.com CNAME survey.cs.zohohost.com
