1. Click on the down arrow in the field header
2. Click the Edit option.
3. Click the CHANGE button beside the field type.
4. This will bring up the list of available field types.
5. Choose a field type from the list that appears.
You will get a warning stating, ''Part of your data might be cleared from this field if you convert to Checkbox field type. You can also undo this change.'' Meaning, in some cases, once the field gets converted, the existing data may get cleared off. If you don't want your data to be lost, make sure that you keep your data saved in a different field.
