A portal is a controlled facility to store and manage collectively owned information, be it personal or professional. Portal allows to set user roles and provide level of access to the collaborators. Business entities can have separate portals for various functions or activities to manage all their business processes conveniently through a single platform.
Advantages of a Portal:
- The main aspect of a portal is to give users a structured plan to benefit the size and purpose of their project/organization.
- For instance: A company with a growing clientele may find it challenging to manage all its business activities under one organized system, while keeping sensitive data transparent for the top management and restricted for others.
- With the portal->workspace->base structure, the company can create a dedicated space for each project.
Through separate Portals, businesses can have all their activities organized neatly under segmented workspaces.
- Using this model, admins of the portal have complete access of the portal, while other users have restricted access to the work that concerns them. Thus, we can avoid overwhelming people with unrelated data and let them concentrate on their main responsibilities.
- The Portal creator is the Super Admin of the Portal. Super Admin have full access and control over the entire portal in terms of the users under the subscription plan, upgrading the portal plan, managing payments, changing portal names and deleting a portal. They can include more people as portal admins and assign access to contribute to the bases grouped within the workspaces of the respective portal. The admins and users with the capacity to grant access roles will add other members of the team to their respective projects.
Create your Portal by giving it a suitable name, and click the CREATE PORTAL option. (Portal name could be your organization name or your project name or denote a personal theme.)
