Expand Record
The Expand Record functionality lets you view all the information in a record on an almost full-size page, eliminating the need to scroll vertically through fields. It displays the field values and the record logs in a card-like format featuring the changes made to the record, the modifier's name, and the modification's date and time.
Expanding a Record in Different Views
Grid View
Right-click on the record header and select the Expand Record option from the context menu.
Gallery View
Calendar View
Kanban View
Hovering over a card will display the three dots menu icon.
Click on the Menu icon and choose Expand Record from the context menu.
Switching between the previous and the next record is easy with the back and forward buttons next to the Log button.
You can also delete or duplicate a record using the more options icon on the top right corner of the record.
While you cannot change the field types in the expanded record, you can always edit the value of the data in any field by clicking on the field value.
Add a new field using expand record:
- Click + Add a field from the left bottom panel of the card.
- Select the desired field type from the list of fields
- A new field will be created at the end of the existing fields
- Confirmation message about the same will instantly appear on the screen.
View hidden fields in the expanded record
At the bottom left corner of the expanded record, you can find the number of hidden fields of the record in an 'n' hidden field(s) format. Upon clicking on the hidden field option, you'll see the expanded version of the same.
Record Log
- Click Log icon at the right top of the card
- The log displays the changes made to the record, the modifier's name and the date & time of modification
