Summary Measure

Summary Measure

The summary measure bar provides the summary of all the cells in a particular field. The summary measure bar is present at the bottom of each field. By clicking the down arrow in the summary field, you can select the summarization options for the relevant field type. The summary option displayed is based on the field type. Upon selecting the required option, a summary will appear. 



General Summary Options: 


  • None        
  • Empty
  • Filled 
  • Unique 
  • Percent Empty 
  • Percent Filled 
  • Percent Unique 


None:

No summary measure option will be selected. 


Empty:

The count of the cells that are empty will be displayed. 


Filled:

The count of the cells that are filled will be displayed. 


Unique:

The count of the cell values that are unique in a field will be displayed. 


Percent Empty: 

The percentage of blank values of that field alone will be displayed. 


Percent Filled: 

The percentage of cells that are filled with values of that field alone will be displayed. 


Percent Unique:

The percentage of unique values in that field will be displayed. 


Specific Summary Options for Number Field Type: 

  • Sum - Sum of all the cells in that field. 
  • Average - Average of all the cells in that field. 
  • Min - The minimum value in that field. 
  • Max - The maximum value in that field. 
  • Median - The middle number in that field. The median is taken in the ascending order. 
  • Range - The difference between the maximum and minimum value in that field. 
  • Standard Deviation - The average variability of the numbers in that field. 


Specific Summary Options for Date Field Type: 

  • Date range in days - The number of days between the maximum and minimum date value in your field. 
  • Date range in months - The number of months between the maximum and minimum date value in your field. 
  • Earliest date - The earliest date among the list of dates in that field. 
  • Latest date - The oldest date among the list of dates in that field. 


Specific Summary Options for Checkbox Field Type: 

  • Checked - The count of the records that are checked in that field. 
  • Unchecked - The count of the number of records that are un-checked in that field. 
  • Percent checked - The percentage of records that have been selected in that field. 
  • Percent unchecked - The percentage of records that are not selected in that field.
