What is it?
The split screen feature in Zoho Tables for Android allows you to open two bases, tables, or views side-by-side so you can work on them simultaneously. By opening a base in a new split screen window, you can view or edit data in one base while referencing another. This helps teams compare records, copy information between bases, and manage multiple workflows without constantly switching screens.
This creates a multitasking workspace where two Zoho Tables bases, tables, or views are displayed at the same time, allowing you to navigate and manage data more efficiently.

Why use this feature?
Use this feature if you want to:
Work on two bases simultaneously.
Compare records or data across bases.
Copy or reference information between different bases.
Reduce time spent switching between bases.
Improve multitasking and productivity while managing data.
How it works
Open the Zoho Tables Android app and navigate to your Workspace.
Locate the base that you want to open in split screen.
Tap the (More Options) button next to the base.
Choose Open in Split Screen. The selected base opens in a split screen window.
In the original window, open another base from your workspace or even a table or view. You can now view and work with two bases simultaneously, each in its own window.
Drag and drop files in split screen
Split screen also enables drag-and-drop functionality, allowing you to quickly attach files to records by moving them from another location directly into Zoho Tables.
How dragging and dropping in split screen works
Open a base in split screen using Open in Split Screen.
In the original window, open a local folder (such as the Files app).
Choose and drag files (documents, images, etc.) from the folder.
Drop them into an attachment field in the Zoho Tables base.
The files will be instantly uploaded and attached to the selected record.
