AI field types

Zoho Tables understands, interprets, and generates human language with its AI field types. These field types can often make work management easier by doing things like extracting quick information from lengthy text data, interpreting customer emotions, and breaking down language barriers between businesses and users.

Zoho Tables has three AI field types:

  • Keyword extraction

  • Sentimental analysis

  • Language detector

InfoNote: AI field types have up to 85% accuracy and are non-editable. 

To add AI field types, click as shown in the image below, and choose an AI field type.


Field type: Keyword extraction

The keyword extraction field identifies and extracts essential words and phrases that best represent the text given in the chosen field. With a high degree of accuracy, the keyword extraction field plays a significant role in SEO, content analysis, categorization and summarization, and more.

How to create a keyword extraction field

  1. Choose Keyword Extraction from the list of available field types.

  2. Choose a field from which you want to extract the keywords in the Choose a field to extract keywords option in Customize field.

  3. Enter the maximum number of keywords to be displayed in each record in the Max. number of keywords to display option.

  4. Tap the Save button.

 


Field type: Sentiment analysis

The sentiment analysis field type automatically analyzes and identifies the sentiment of opinions expressed within text data, based on context, tone, and emotion. With 85% accuracy, this field is highly capable of categorizing text like feedback and opinions into different segments, such as happy, neutral, and disappointed, to help you gain valuable insights from them.

How to create a sentiment analysis field

  1. Choose Sentiment Analysis from the list of field types available.

  2. In the Choose a field to analyze dropdown option, select any text field from your base that you want to analyze.

  3. Set the sentiments.

  4. Tap the Save button.

 


You can set the sentiments to be displayed in the records either by naming them or by choosing a relevant emoji.

 

Field type: Language detector

The language detector field is used to automatically detect the language of text data when multilingual data is involved. The language detector field type is useful in identifying the languages used in user-generated regional content across various platforms, such as social media.

How to create a language detector field

  1. Choose Language Detection from the list of field types available.

  2. From the Choose a Field to Language Detector dropdown, choose a field.

  3. Tap the Save button.
