Live translation and transcription
What is it?
The live translation and transcription feature in Zoho Tables for iOS allows you to automatically transcribe and translate speech from attached audio/videos. When a audio/video file is added to a record, Zoho Tables, powered by Apple Intelligence, analyzes the audio, converts the spoken content into text, and translates it into the language you choose.
This helps teams quickly understand audio/video content without manually listening and translating it themselves. Think of it as a built-in assistant that turns speech into readable and translated text, making audio/video content easier to share across teams.
What do you need?
A Zoho Tables account
The Zoho Tables iOS app with iOS versions above 26
A video or audio file attached to a record
Permission to access and upload files from your device
Supported inputs include:
Audio/videos uploaded from your device
Audio/videos attached through an attachment field in Zoho Tables

How it works
Open the Zoho Tables iOS app and navigate to the table where you want to add the audio/video.
Open an existing record or create a new one.
Attach an audio/video file using the attachment field in the record.
Once the audio/video is uploaded, a Translate option will appear at the bottom whenever the audio/video file is opened. Enable this option to transcribe and translate the audio/video file.
On the top of the screen, the transcription in the language chosen will be displayed as shown below.
To change the language, choose the target language into which the speech should be translated.
Zoho Tables processes the audio/video by:
Extracting the audio
Converting speech into text (transcription)
Translating the text into the chosen language
Note: Processing time may vary depending on the audio/video length and audio clarity.
