Siri commands

After installing the Zoho Tables app, you can use Siri to interact with your Zoho Tables bases easily.

Enabling Siri for Zoho Tables

  • Setting up Siri: Siri should be enabled for Zoho Tables by default, but if not, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Shortcuts app.

    2. Search for "Create base" in the search bar.

    3. Tap the Zoho Tables shortcut.

    4. Tap the info button in the top-right corner of the app.

    5. Enable the toggle button next to Siri.


  • Using Siri commands:

    1. To create a new base, say, "Hey Siri, create base on Zoho Tables."

    2. To open a specific base, say, "Hey Siri, open [base name] on Zoho Tables."
      For example: "Hey Siri, open Product Plan on Zoho Tables."

 

Spotlight search

Spotlight search allows you to quickly find and access your Zoho Tables bases from your home screen.

Accessing bases

Searching for a base:

  1. Swipe down on your home screen or tap the search bar at the bottom of your home screen to reveal the Spotlight search bar.

  2. Type the name of the base you're looking for. Spotlight will show the base along with a preview.

  3. Tap the base in the search results to open it directly in the Zoho Tables app.

 

Creating a base:

  1. Swipe down or tap the search bar at the bottom of your home screen to access Spotlight search.

  2. Type "Create base" into the search bar.

  3. Tap the + icon in the top hits or the Create base action to open Zoho Tables and create a new base.

 

App shortcuts

You can customize your experience with Zoho Tables using the Apple Shortcuts app to create quick access to your recent bases or create new ones.

Using app shortcuts

Creating custom shortcuts:

  1. Open the Shortcuts app.

  2. Tap the + button to create a new shortcut.

  3. Search for "Zoho Tables" in the search bar.

  4. Choose the actions you want to add, such as "Create base" or "Open base."

  5. Set up and name your custom shortcut.


Accessing recent bases and creating base actions:
  1. Open the Shortcuts app on your device.

  2. Search "Recent bases" or "Create base"—you'll see recent bases and the Create base action listed. 

Pinning shortcuts to the home screen:

  1. From the Shortcuts app, find the base or action you want to pin.

  2. Long press on the base to open its details.

  3. Choose Add to Home Screen from the list of options to create a home screen icon for quick access.
