In this article, we'll see how you can customize the Mail module in Trident to suit your preferences.
You can open the Mail Composer in three different ways:
To open the Mail Composer in one of the three ways by default:
In the Mail Composer, you can determine if the Cc field should appear by default or not. To do so:
Note: When the Cc field is disabled by default, you can access it by clicking Cc at the right-end of the To field in the Mail Composer.
You can customize when Trident marks your emails as read. To do so:
Click your profile image in the top-right corner of the app.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Go to Mail > Mailbox Views.
Scroll down to the Mark Email as Read setting and select the desired configuration from the drop-down options.
Here's a quick overview of how each of the customization options will function.
Upon Opening the Email | As soon as you open the email in the detail view, it will be marked as read. |
After x Seconds | After you view the email for the chosen duration, it will be marked as read. |
When the Email Selection Changes | No matter how long you view the email, it won't be marked as read unless you view another email. |
Manually | You must manually click the Mark as Read icon each time. |
To enable or disable notifications for new emails:
Note: You can choose to enable or disable alert sound for email notifications and decide to show or hide preview for emails in the notifications by toggling the respective options on or off.
You can also choose to show or hide the number of unread emails in the dock icon badge. To do so:
Trident supports the following trackpad gestures to perform useful actions, such as shifting between read and unread emails in a folder, marking an email as read or unread, and archiving or deleting an email.
