Downloading Email Attachments in Trident (macOS)

You can download single, multiple, or all attachments from an email. Depending on your needs, you can download them directly or as a ZIP archive, with or without password protection.

Downloading a Single Attachment 

To download a single attachment:

  1. Open the email containing the attachment.

  2. Click the Download icon.

  3. Browse to the location where you want to save the file, and rename it if needed.

To download a single attachment with password protection:

  1. Click the down-arrow next to the Download icon and select Download With Password.

  2. Enter a password and click Submit.

  3. Browse to the location and rename the file to save it.

To download the attachment as a password-protected ZIP archive:

  1. Click the More Options icon next to the Download as ZIP option.

  2. Select ZIP and Download With Password.

  3. Enter a password and click Submit.

  4. Browse to the location and rename the file to save it.


Downloading Multiple Attachments

To download multiple attachments:

  1. Open the email containing several attachments.

  2. Click the down-arrow and select Select Attachments.

  3. Choose the attachments you want to download.

  4. Click Download Selected.

  5. Browse to the location and rename the file to save it.

Notes
Note: When downloading more than one attachment, Trident automatically downloads them as a ZIP archive.

To download multiple attachments as a password-protected ZIP archive:

  1. Click the More Options icon next to Clear Selection.

  2. Select ZIP and Download Selected Files With Password.

  3. Enter a password and click Submit.

  4. Browse to the location and rename the file to save it.


Downloading All Attachments 

To download all attachments in an email:

  1. Open the email containing multiple attachments.

  2. Click Download All.

  3. Browse to the location and rename the file to save it.

To download all attachments as a password-protected ZIP archive:

  1. Click the More Options icon next to the Download All option.

  2. Select ZIP and Download With Password.

  3. Enter a password and click Submit.

  4. Browse to the location and rename the file to save it.


Previewing Email Attachments 

To preview an email attachment:

  1. Open the email containing the attachment.

  2. Click on the file in the email detail view to preview it.
