Streams enable communication and collaboration with individuals or a group of people in the social media style. You can share emails, notes, and tasks with other users or groups via Streams, and they can like the content you've shared, comment, reply to comments, add invitees, react with emojis, and share files.
Every user can be a member of multiple groups—organizational (created by the admin) or personal groups (created by users). The moderators or the owners of the group can enable Streams for the groups. Once enabled, these groups will be listed inside Streams for all of the members.
The members can then post messages to the groups and also on individual members' walls. All of the group members can view the various elements like emails, notes, tasks, events, messages, and bookmarks shared with the group. Members can respond to the posts by liking the post, adding comments to the post, and so on.
In the Streams module, the left pane shows the Home tab, followed by the list of groups you are a part of and for which Streams have been enabled.
In the Home tab, you'll find the Streams grouped into the following categories.
Streams to me:
This tab gives a consolidated view of:
Invites: Lists the posts in which you are an invitee.
@mentions: Lists the posts in which you were @mentioned.
Favorite: Lists the posts you have marked as favorites.
Streams by me: Lists the Streams posts you have created.
Below Home, where you find the list of Streams groups you're a part of, you'll have tabs like "Streams" and "Unread" instead of "Streams to me" and "Invites" as in the Home tab.
Streams: Lists the posts created by all of the members of the group.
Unread: Lists all of your unread Streams posts.
With the help of filters, you can view Streams by their elements such as the following, in your Streams Home or Groups.
In the Streams Comments popover, you can take the following actions.
You can view the ongoing Streams activities from the In-App Notifications and also act on the notified element from there.
