Why is the app's size larger than expected, and why does it seem to keep increasing?

The standard app size ranges between 250 MB and 600 MB, but the actual installation size can vary depending on your system. If your machine already has the necessary dependent files, the installed size will be smaller.

If the app is taking up more space than the above-stated levels, here are some workarounds:

Check if account sync is enabled
When offline mail sync is turned on, all emails from your logged-in accounts are downloaded and stored locally, allowing you to load them faster and access them without an internet connection. If you don’t see yourself traveling often with this computer or have a reliable internet connection, offline mode can be disabled.

To disable offline mail sync:

  1. Click the Main Menu icon and select Settings.

  2. Go to Accounts.

  3. Select the account and toggle Sync off under Sync Settings.

Alternatively, you can right-click the email account in the Accounts section in the left pane and select Disable Offline Mail in the menu list.

After disabling offline mail sync, Trident will stop downloading additional emails from our servers thereafter, and the overall app size will stabilize. To ensure system space is freed after disabling offline mail:

  1. Click the Main Menu  icon in the top-left corner of the app.

  2. Select Settings from the drop-down menu.

  3. Go to General > Clear Cache and click Clear.
