Trident(Windows) lets you import EML and PST files stored on your device so you can view and manage their contents directly inside the app. This is useful if you're migrating from another email client, working with archived emails, or retain emails for legal or compliance reasons without adding them to your mailbox.
Note: This article explores importing emails to the Trident desktop app for Windows. Click here for the Zoho Mail web help documentation.Click the Main Menu icon in the top-left corner of the app.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Go to Mail > Import Email Files.
Click Import.
Select EML or PST files in File Explorer.
If the file is zipped, choose a location to extract it and click Extract.

Notes:
Importing email files into Trident does not affect the mailbox storage. Emails are accessed directly from your system and are not uploaded to Zoho servers. There is no file size limit for imports.
EML files must be imported as ZIP or TGZ archives. Importing individual EML files are not supported.

The same email file cannot be imported more than once.
If the import file is password-protected, you will be prompted to enter the password before the import begins.
When you sign out of Trident, imported email files are removed from the app and are not available upon signing in again. The files remain in the local system folder and can be reimported.
After importing email files, they appear under the On My Device section in the folder pane. The folder structure from the imported file is retained, so you can browse folders exactly as they were organized.
