In this article we'll learn how you can communicate with ease using threads.
Note: This article explores communicating via threads in channels in the Trident desktop app. Click here for the Zoho Cliq web app's help documentation. In Cliq channels, if the admin has enabled it, you can reply in threads. To reply in a thread:
The thread name will be automatically generated based on the keywords using in the conversation, but you can rename the thread as well. To rename the thread:
Click the name of the thread.
Enter the new name of the thread and press enter.
In the alert that appears, click Yes.
To follow a threaded conversation, click Follow on the parent message.
Alternatively, to follow a threaded conversation that you've popped out and opened in a separate chatbox:

You'll automatically start following a thread when you:
To auto-follow all the threaded conversations in a channel irrespective of whether you send a thread reply or are @mentioned:
To unfollow a threaded conversation, click Unfollow on the parent message.
To add a channel participant as a thread follower:
Pop out the threaded conversation in a separate chatbox.
Click the More Options icon on the chatbox header.
Select Add Follower from the menu list.
In the text box, type the user's name and hit enter.
Alternatively, you can also:
Pop out the threaded conversation in a separate chatbox.
Type the + icon followed by the user's name in the text box.
Press enter.
Note: You can only add channel participants as thread followers.To remove a channel participant as a thread follower:
Pop out the thread in a separate chatbox.
Click the thread's profile image.
In the pop-up that opens, hover over the user's tile whom you want to remove from the group.
Click the More Options icon.
Select Remove.
To close a threaded conversation:
Note: The closed thread can be reopened later by any channel participant.To view closed threads in a channel:
Click the Thread icon on the chatbox header.
Click the Settings icon.
Toggle on the Show Closed Threads option.
