Sync Frequency: The time interval at which Trident syncs Mail offline.
Sync Variance: The number of email-centric actions performed at which Trident syncs Mail offline.
Mail will be synced offline when either the Sync Frequency or Sync Variance setting is fulfilled first. To understand this better, consider that you've set the sync frequency as 15 minutes and the sync variance as 50 actions.
If you carry out 50 actions first in three or four minutes (or anything less than the set sync frequency), then at that point, Mail will be synced. Similarly, in 15 minutes, if you have done only 20 actions (or anything less than the set variance), Mail will be synced offline.
Notes:
The Sync Frequency and Sync Variance settings are only applicable when Sync option is enabled.
Examples of email-centric actions include marking an email as read, flagging an email, deleting it, archiving it, and so on.
