To create a new note:
Navigate to the Notes module.
Click the New Note button in the top-left corner of the app.
An untitled note will appear in the List or Grid View depending upon your View Settings.
Give your note a title and jot down your thoughts.
Your note will be automatically saved in the List View.
In the Grid View, you can click the Tick icon or anywhere on the screen to save your note.
To create a personal note:
Navigate to the Views section under the New Note button, on the left pane of the Notes module.
Click All My Notes under Views.
Click the New Note button and create your note.
To create a group note:
Navigate to the Groups section below the Views section on the left pane of the Notes module.
Select the group in which you want to create your note.
Click the New Note button and create your note.

The Notes module has a What You See Is What You Get editor to format your content. The following are the formatting options available in the rich text mode:

To identify and access the note you are looking for quickly, you can color code, star, and tag your notes.
You can color code your notes in yellow, blue, red, or green to separate them by the level of importance, subject matter, and so on, to organize your notes effectively.
To color code a note in the List View:
Right-click the note you want to color code from the list of notes.
Select the desired color from the menu list.
Alternatively, you can also:
Open the note you want to color code in the Notes Editor.
Click the colored bubble in the top-right corner of the Notes Editor.
Select the desired color from the menu list.
To color code a note in the Grid View:
Click open or hover over the note you want to color code.
Click the More Options icon in the top-right corner of the Notes Editor.
Select the desired color from the menu list.
To mark a note as a favorite in the List View:
Open the note you want to favorite.
Click the Star icon in the top-right corner of the Notes Editor.
Alternatively, you can also:
Select the note you want to star from the notes list.
Click the Star icon in the bottom-right corner.
To mark a note as favorite in the Grid View:
Navigate to the note you want to mark as favorite.
Click the Star icon in the bottom-right corner of the note.
