Searching for Tasks

In this article, we'll see how you can search for tasks based on various criteria including title, content, creator, assignee, status, priority, and group.

Understanding Search Parameters 

Search in Tasks offers more than 20 distinct search parameters. Each parameter and its function is described below.


Search by task fields:

Title

To list tasks with the specified title

Description

To list tasks with the specified description

Contains

To list tasks with the specified text

Created By

To list tasks created by a specified user

Assigned To

To lists tasks assigned to a specified user

No Assignee

To list tasks with no assignee

Created From Email

To list tasks created from emails

Status

To list tasks with a specified status

Priority

To list tasks with a specified priority

Favourites

To list tasks marked as favourite

Recurring

To list recurring tasks

Recurrence Pattern

To list tasks based on the recurrence pattern

In Group

To list tasks in a specified group

Invitee

To list tasks with a specified invitee

@mention

To list tasks with a specified user or group @mentioned

Comment

To list tasks with a specified comment

Commented By

To list tasks commented on by a specified user


Search by attachment details:

Attachments

To list tasks with attachments

Attachment Name

To list tasks with the specified attachment name

Attachment Content

To list tasks with the specified content in the attachment

Attachment Type

To list tasks based on the attachment file type


Search for tasks by date:

On Date

To list tasks on a specified date

To Date

To list tasks to a specified date

Due Date

To list tasks with a specified due date

No Due Date

To list tasks with no due date

Completed Date

To list tasks completed on a specified date

NotesNote: You can select tasks between a specific date range using the From and To date filters.

 Searching for Tasks

There are three ways to search for Tasks:

  1. Begin typing your search keywords in the search bar and select the relevant parameter from the listing that appears.
  2. Choose the parameter first and then type in the search keyword.
  3. Include multiple search parameters in the search bar to narrow down the search results.

Viewing  Recent Search Results   

The recent searches appear below the search parameters. You can view the three most recent searches that were performed.
