To update your Cliq status:
Click open the status drop-down menu.
Select the desired status from the list of suggestions.
Alternatively, to set a custom status:
In the Type custom status field, enter a custom status.
Click the status icon to choose a suitable one for your custom status.
Hit enter.
The search bar enables you to find chats, contacts, channels, threads, and messages. You can apply these filters while searching to narrow down the search results.
All of your chats are grouped and listed under the following tabs described below.
Chat Tab | Illustration | Description |
Pinned Chats | Lists your pinned chats, groups, and channels. | |
Recent Chats | Lists the chats based on the most recent time of sent or received messages. | |
Unsent Chats | Shows the number and list of unsent chats within the Recent Chats tab. | |
Unread Chats | Lists the chats in which you have unread messages. | |
Contacts | Lists all the people you've communicated with in Cliq. | |
Threads | Lists the threaded conversations as separate chats from various channels. Note: This view is available only when the Cliq preference is set to In a Separate Threads Tab. | |
Channels | Lists the channels you're a part of. | |
Bots | Lists the bots you've configured. | |
Muted | Lists the chats, groups, channels, and bots that you have muted. |
From the chat list, you can pin, mute, and mark chats as read or unread using right-click actions.
To pin a chat:
Right-click the chat you want to pin.
Select Pin Chat from the drop-down menu and click My Pins.
To unpin a chat:
Go to the Pinned Chats tab or search for the chat you want to unpin.
Right-click the chat and select Unpin Chat from the drop-down menu.
To mute a chat:
Right-click the chat you want to mute.
Select the duration until which you want it to be mute from the drop-down menu.
To unmute a chat:
Click the More icon in the chat list tab.
Select Muted Chats from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, search for the chat you want to unmute and right-click it.
Select Unmute from the drop-down menu.
To mark a chat as unread:
Right-click the chat you want to mark as unread.
Select Mark as Unread from the drop-down menu.
To mark a chat as read:
Right-click the chat you want to mark as read.
Select Mark as Read from the drop-down menu.
To mark all of your chats as read:
Go to the Unread Chats tab.
Click the Mark all as Read option.
