When you install Zoho Vault's browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, Vivaldi, and Brave), a list of all possible actions that can be performed by the extension will be displayed. Browsers do so to primarily educate their users about installing plugins strictly from trusted sources. It's also a mandatory requirement for all extensions in order to get listed in the browser stores (like Chrome's Web Store, for example). Zoho Vault cares for your privacy, and we detail the list of permissions we require along with the reasons below.
What data will Zoho Vault access and why?
Permissions |
Why is it needed? |
Read and change all your data on the websites you visit |
|
Display notifications |
To display the result of password change activity, and when user's master password clears as notifications. |
Read and modify data that you copy and paste |
Copy data to clipboard and clear it after the specified time |
Change your settings related to privacy |
To display Zoho Vault's prompt to save and update your passwords by disabling the browser's 'Save Password' prompt. |
Zoho Vault makes certain that the permissions requested will only be used to perform the above-mentioned tasks, and not for any other purpose. You can rest assured when granting these permissions to the extension.
