Can’t access your MFA device? Steps to regain Zoho Account access

When you configure MFA for your Zoho account, you will also be given an option to download backup verification codes. These codes can be used if your MFA device or authenticator app becomes inaccessible.

Search for recovery codes
Look for a file on your computer named RECOVERY-CODES-<Username>.txt.
  1. By default, this file is saved in your Downloads folder.
  2. It may also be located in Documents, your browser’s default download folder, or another location where you may have securely stored it. Use your system’s search bar (e.g., Windows Search or Mac Spotlight) to quickly look for RECOVERY-CODES.
  3. If found, you can log in to your Zoho account using one of the verification codes in this file.
If your account is secured with Zoho OneAuth
You can also try the following to recover your OneAuth account:
  1. Use the Passphrase you configured in Zoho OneAuth to log into OneAuth app.
  2. Recover access to the OneAuth app using another code from the recovery file (if available).
If no recovery options are available

If you don’t have access to recovery codes or a OneAuth passphrase, please write to support@zohovault.com. We will help you regain access to your Zoho account.
