Why does my correct master password not get accepted?

Try the following steps to ensure you're typing in the right master password:

Verify your email address. If you manage multiple Zoho accounts, ensure you're logging in to the right account.
Your master password is case-sensitive. Ensure Caps Lock is turned off when you're keying in your password.
Try accessing your Zoho Vault account from a different device or browser. This will help you isolate the existing issues, if any.
Manually type out the password. If you have your master password saved in a different vault or a digital safe, manually type out the saved password to see if it works.
Recollect if you recently attempted a master password reset. Try entering an old password to see if it works.

Note: We do not store your master password anywhere nor do we have access to it. It can only be reset by you from the Zoho Vault interface. If you still can't log in to your account, you will have to reset your master password. When you reset your forgotten master password, all your personal passwords will be cleared from Vault. Please read this article before you proceed with the master password reset.
