You might be unable to share passwords with other users due to one of the following reasons:
- You are trying to share a personal password
- You are yet to gain password sharing privileges
- Admin has prevented password sharing for your organization
You are trying to share a personal password
When you mark a password as Personal when adding a new credential, it will be marked as your personal password. Personal password are always yours and can never be shared with other users. If you have accidentally marked an enterprise password as Personal:
- Edit the relevant password, then uncheck the Mark as Personal field.
- Click Update, then try sharing your password.
You are yet to gain password sharing privileges
If you're new to Zoho Vault, you require sharing privileges to start sharing passwords. To gain sharing privileges:
- Log in to your Zoho Vault account, if you haven't already to trigger a sharing approval request.
- Request one of your active Zoho Vault users (users with an approved status under the Users tab) to log in to their account.
- Your sharing request will be auto approved as soon as they log in.
Admin has prevented password sharing for your organization
A Zoho Vault admin can disable password sharing for the entire organization or for a specific individual. Reach out to your org's super admin to enable password sharing for your account, if required.
