Zoho Vault Integration with Zoho Desk

Zoho Desk, your one-stop shop for managing customer service across various channels, now integrates seamlessly with Zoho Vault. This powerful combo lets your support agents ditch the password struggle and dedicate their time to resolving customer inquiries.

Zoho Vault securely stores and manages all your passwords. You can easily share them with agents, customers, or even third-parties, with granular access controls. Zoho Vault ensures everyone has the right access level without compromising security.

Pre-requisites  

Adding the Zoho Vault extension to Zoho Desk

  1. Log in to your Zoho Desk account. Click the Setup icon in the top-right corner of the top navigation band.
  2. Navigate to Marketplace and search for Zoho Vault for Zoho Desk
  3. Select the Zoho Vault for Zoho Desk extension.
  4. Click Install
  5. Set your preferences under General Settings. Select the departments and profiles you want the extension to be shared with or given access to.
  6. Agree to the terms of use and click Install Extension. You will be taken to the installed extensions list page.
  7. Click Authorize to establish communication. 
Voila! Zoho Vault extension will be ready for use.

Accessing the Zoho Vault extension 

Once the extension is installed, the password from Zoho Vault can be accessed from the right panel of a ticket's detail page.
  1. Click Tickets from the menu bar and open a ticket.
  2. Click the Marketplace icon on the right side of the ticket's detail page.
  3. Enter your Zoho Vault's master password and click Access Zoho Vault.
The Passwords List from your Zoho Vault will be displayed.

Managing  passwords

When hovering over the passwords in the Passwords List, you will be able to view, share, and auto log in, based on the provisions given while creating the password.
  1. Click the specific password entry to view password details
  2. Click the Auto login icon to redirect to the URL provided for the password.
  3. Click the Share icon to share the password.
  4. Choose Share with Users. Share with User Groups, or Share with Outsiders.
  5. Specify the users from the drop-down menu.
  6. Configure the sharing permissions: One-click Login Only, View, Modify, and Manage privilege by adding them under the corresponding section.
  7. Click Share.

Sharing passwords with third-parties

You can share a password with someone outside your organization, like a contractor. During this process, you'll receive an encryption key, which you should share with the contractor. The contractor will receive an email notification and can use the key to access the password.

Uninstalling the extension 

You may wish to uninstall the extension whenever it is no longer needed. To uninstall the extension:
  1. Click the Setup icon in the top-right corner of the top navigation band.
  2. Navigate to Installed Apps under Marketplace.
  3. Click Zoho Vault for Zoho Desk.
  4. Click Uninstall in the top-right corner. A pop-up will be shown.
  5. Click Uninstall Extension.
