Unlock with Authenticators


Zoho Vault readily integrates with popular authenticators like Windows Hello, TouchID, Passkey, and YubiKey to help users unlock their Vault without entering their master password. This option will help users enjoy a seamless login experience.

  1. On the welcome screen, select Trust this browser.

  1. Configure the unlocking options.

  1. On the Unlock Vault settings page, enable Authenticators.

  1. Click Add Authenticator.

  1. Enter a name for the authenticator and click Next.

  1. The options will be displayed based on the user's browser and operating system. Select your preferred method and proceed with the on-screen instructions.


Use a different phone or tablet
  1. If you select the Use a phone or tablet method, a QR code will be displayed.
  2. Scan it with your mobile device, verify your identity, and save the passkey on the device.
  3. Once configured, you can unlock Zoho Vault with this method.

This device
  1. If you select This device, you can either use Touch ID or Windows Hello based on your operating system.
  2. Verify your identity and store the passkey on your device.
  3. Once configured, you can unlock Zoho Vault with this method.

USB security key
  1. If you select USB security key, you can use YubiKey or any other USB-based keys of your choice.
  2. Verify your identity.
  3. Once configured, you can unlock Zoho Vault with your USB security key.


Manage Authenticators
  1. You can add or delete authenticators whenever required.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Security > Unlock Vault. Click Manage Authenticators under the Authenticators section.

  1. You can add up to 20 authenticators, which you can delete at any time. You can also view the authenticator name, device details, and IP address. Click the Delete button to delete an authenticator.
