Sharing Passwords with Third Parties

You can temporarily share your passwords with third parties, like contractors, or freelancers who do not own a Zoho Vault account or aren't a part of your organization's Zoho Vault setup.

To share your passwords with third parties:

  1. Select a password to share from the Passwords tab.
  2. Click Share, then select the Third-parties tab.
  3. Enter the email address of the third-party user and click Share Password. An email will be sent to the user containing an encrypted link to the password.

  4. An encryption key that will allow the third party user to access the shared password will be generated on your screen. Share this key with your contact separately.

Note 1:  These external users will have View access to your passwords. The password link will be available for up to 72 hours for the users. You can customize the password validity to be anywhere between thirty minutes and 24 hours, after which the access to the link containing your password expires. We recommend that you change the shared password after the shared link expires.
Note 2: This feature is available on web, browser extensions and mobile app.

how do I set up sharing permissions so I can share a password with a third party   - when Im in the Vault and go to share with third party it tells me Admin has to set this up - I am the admin and can't see where that setting is to turn it on  thanks

I think you have to be a Super Admin to set this up.

Hey! is there a way to share the password with a third party in a way they can't see it? I only want them to be able to log in to a service without seeing the password.

I would like to know this too. It seems sharing passwords with outside partners who need continual access to passwords can be complicated to manage. From what I can see I need to expose my password to them and continually change it everytime I share it instead of giving them one click access. Since the password can only be shared for up to 24 hours this can be a difficult situation to manage. Is there a better/easier way to share passwords with third parties that doesn't expose the password and doesn't need to be renewed daily?
