Share and communicate with Live Text (iOS)
With the iOS 16 update, WorkDrive now supports the Live Text feature to enrich user experience by enabling quick actions. With the Live Text feature you can copy text, open links, make calls, and more, based on the text that appears in the image or PDF located in your WorkDrive folders.
Supported iOS versions: iOS 15 and iPad 15.1 or later.
Enable Live Text
By default, Live Text is enabled on your iOS device. If it is not enabled, you can enable it in the Settings app.
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap General.
- Tap Language & Region.
- Toggle the Live Text switch ON.
Copy All text
- Open the required image.
- Copy all the text on your screen
- Tap
on the bottom-right corner of the image.
- Tap the Copy All icon in the bottom-left corner.
Live Text icon is not available for PDF files.
For PDF files, touch and hold the text, then move the grab points to adjust the selection to perform the below actions.
Copy selected text
- Hold and press the selected text.
- Move the grab points to adjust the selection.
- Tap Copy.
Add to calendar
- Hold and press the date and time.
- Tap to select the following options:
- Create Event
- Create Reminder
- Show in Calendar
- Copy Event
View directions via Map
- If you'd like to navigate to the address mentioned in the image or PDF:
- Hold and press the address.
- Tap to select the following options:
- Get directions
- Open in Maps
- Add to contacts
- Copy Address or Share
Look up
Look Up shows personalized suggestions based on the content- from the web, iTunes, or the App Store.
- Hold and press the selected text.
- Tap Look Up.
Translate
The selected content will be translated to the language you prefer.
- Hold and press the selected text.
- Tap Translate to translate the selected text.
- Tap Change Language to change it to the language of your choice.
Search web
The selected content will be searched through Google.
- Hold and press the selected text.
- Tap Search Web.
Share
- The selected content can be shared to your contacts through iMessage, AirDrop, Mail, or any external sharing options.
- Hold and press the selected text.
- Tap Share.
Draft a new mail
- Hold and press the email address.
- Tap New Mail Message to draft a new mail.
Open a website link
- Hold and press the website link.
- Tap Open link.
- Tap to select from the following options
- Add to reading list
- Copy Link
- Share
Make a call
- Hold and press the phone number.
- Tap to select the following options:
- Call
- Message
- FaceTime
- Add to contacts
- Copy
