Share files and folders internally from a Team Folder using mobile apps
The WorkDrive app for iOS and Android makes it easy for you to collaborate with your team directly from your mobile devices. You can share a file or folder with your entire team, including members who aren't part of a Team Folder. Easily add collaborators' email addresses and set access permissions enabling them to view, comment, share, and edit files and folders as needed.
Share a file or folder with members who are not part of the Team Folder
- Open the Team Folder.
- Tap the
icon in the top-right corner of your screen.
You can also tap More icon next to the folder, and tap Share. - Enter the email address or name of the member in the Add Members space.
- Tap the Access Level dropdown to assign one of the following permissions to the member:For a folder:Organize: Collaborator can create, edit, comment on, and share the folder with other users.Edit: Collaborator can view, comment on, and edit the folder.View and Comment: Collaborator can view and comment on the folder.View: Collaborator can only view the folder.For a file:Share: Collaborator can share, edit, and comment on the file.Edit: Collaborator can view, comment on, and edit the file.View and Comment: Collaborator can view and comment on the file.View: Collaborator can only view the file.
- Toggle the Notify switch on to notify members when a folder is shared with them.
- Add an optional note under Add message.
- To share the file or folder:
On your iOS device, tap SHARE at the bottom of your screen.
On your Android device, tap check mark icon in the top-right corner of your screen.
Share a file or folder with your entire team
- Open the Team Folder.
- Tap the
icon in the top-right corner of your screen.
- You can also tap More icon next to the folder, and tap Share.
- Tap Permalink and the Permalink settings will open.
- Tap Anyone in Team, and click Set Link Visibility to choose from the following options:Edit: Collaborators can edit and add comments to the file or folder.View and Comment: Collaborators can view the file or folder and add comments.View: Collaborators can only view the file or folder.
- Toggle the Set Expiry switch to set an expiration date for access to the file or folder.
- To copy the permalink:
On your iOS device, tap the copy icon next to the Link and click UPDATE below the screen.
On your Android device, tap the link below the Share Link and click the check mark icon in the top-right corner of your screen.
Remove or stop sharing a file or folder
- Tap Collaborators in the Share dialog.
- Tap the access level drop down next to the collaborator's name.
- Tap Delete or No access.
