Sort and filter files and folders

Sort and filter options help you control how files appear in your workspace. Sorting lets you order files by name, date, size, or type, so the most relevant files rise to the top. Filtering narrows your view to specific file types, cutting out clutter when you're looking for something specific.  


Sort files and folders

  1. Open any location, such as My Folders, Team Folders, Shared with Me, or Recent Files.
  2. Click the Sort by (↑↓) icon in the top menu bar.
  3. Choose a Sort by option and a respective Sort order.
    1. Name — A to Z, Z to A
    2. Last Modified — Oldest First, Newest First
    3. Time Created — Oldest First, Newest First
    4. Size — Smallest First, Largest First
    5. Extension — A to Z, Z to A
    6. Type — A to Z, Z to A
    7. Shared Time — Oldest First, Newest First (Shared with Me only)

Notes:
  1. You can also sort files inside any sub-folder in My Folders or Team Folders.
  2. Sorting applies only to your view. Other collaborators will continue to see files based on their own sorting preferences.

Filter Files and folders

Filters help narrow down your view by showing only files of a specific type as preferred. 
  1. Open the Folder or Team Folder where you want to apply filters.
  2. Click the Filter icon on the top menu bar.
  3. Use one or more of the available filter categories:
    1. Folders
    2. My Drafts (available only on Team Folders)
    3. Documents
    4. Spreadsheets
    5. Presentations
    6. PDF
    7. Images
    8. Audio
    9. Video
    10. Links
The file list will update based on your selections.
