Watermarking is essential for safeguarding your content from unauthorized use, copying, or theft. By adding watermarks (as text, logos, or other images), you not only protect your digital assets but also enhance your brand visibility across digital platforms.
Here's why watermarking is essential:
- Brand recognition and promotion: For example, a marketing agency can add its logo as a watermark on promotional graphics for social media campaigns. This ensures the agency's brand is visible whenever these graphics are shared, boosting brand recognition and attracting potential clients.
- Prevention of unauthorized use: Graphic design companies often showcase their work online. By watermarking their samples, they prevent others from downloading and using these illustrations without permission, protecting their creative work and encouraging potential clients to seek their services.
- Credibility: News organizations can watermark exclusive images published on their websites. This practice reassures viewers that the images are authentic and from a credible source, building trust with their audience.
