View and manage items in Shared with Me
All files and folders shared with you directly by other users or via groups will be listed under Shared with Me. Based on the permission you have on each file or folder, you will be able to view, download, edit, or share those items.
- Go to your Zoho WorkDrive account.
- Select Shared with Me in the left pane.
You can see the list of files and folders shared with you on the right-side of your screen. - Under Shared with Me, click the dropdown arrow next to All at the top-left and select a particular group or user to filter the files and folders shared by them.
You can find the sorting, view, and additional filter options at the top-right corner. - To choose a sorting order, click the sorting icon and select Name, Last Modified, or Shared Time.
- To choose a view, click the view icon and select List or Thumbnail.
- To filter items by type, click the filter icon and select All, Folders, or a file type.
Available file type filters are: Documents, PDF, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Images, Videos, and Audio.
Remove files and folders from Shared with Me
You can remove files and folders shared directly by other team members from your Shared with Me listing. Removing items from your listing will not delete the actual file or folder owned by other users.
- Go to your Zoho WorkDrive account.
- Select Shared with Me in the left pane.
You can see the list of files and folders shared with you on the right-side of your screen. - Select a file or folder, then click the more actions icon (...) on the top action bar, and select Remove from the dropdown.
Alternatively, you can right-click the selected items and select Remove. - In the confirmation dialog, click Remove.
- Files and folders shared via groups cannot be removed from Shared with Me.
- Once you remove any files and folders from Shared with Me, the same will be removed from Recent Files and Favorites, but you will still be able to find those items from search results and access them as per the available permissions. When you access the file or folder again, that item will again be listed in Shared with Me.
- Labels associated with the shared files and folders will also be removed while removing the items from Shared with Me.
