SMS Gateway

Introduction

SMS Gateway is a Zoho Workerly feature that enables the user to quickly send messages and communicate with Temps/Contacts. With the SMS Gateway, you can either send individual or bulk messages to Temps/Contacts. Zoho Workerly supports four vendors to purchase credits to be used for sending messages. The main advantage of using this feature is to instantly notify information to Temps/Contacts.

Scenario:
A new job is assigned to a temp, and as an agent you will have to instantly notify Temps or Client Contact regarding the update. Configure SMS gateway for smooth communication.

Note:
  1. The SMS Gateway feature is available for Paid edition users only.
  2. Agents and Admin can create SMS templates for Temps and Contacts
  3. Temps and Contacts contact numbers should be stored with their respective country code.
  4. SMS/Text message should not exceed more than 500 characters.

Configuring SMS Gateway

SMS Gateway feature enables the agents to easily send mass and individual messages with details to temps and contacts.

To configure SMS Gateway:
  1. Go to Setup > Extensions > Others.
  2. Click on Setup button provided for SMS / Text Messaging Gateway.
  3. Select the SMS provider from the list displayed.
    Note: Each user in the org needs to register with the SMS provider to purchase credits and avail the service.
  4. Enter the SMS provider details .
    (I) 
    Screen Magic: Username, Account ID, API Key, Sender ID.
    (II) 
    Clickatell: API Key, Phone Number.
    (III) 
    Message Media: API Key, API Secret.
    (IV)
    Twilio: Account SID, Auth Token, Phone Number.
    Note: Twilio and MessageMedia integration are two-way integration allowing communication to happen both ways.
  5. Click on Authenticate & Save. A pop-up window is then displayed.
  6. To change the default contact field, click ProceedSelect Fields window is displayed.
  7. Select the appropriate values from the Temps and Contacts drop-down lists.
  8. Click on Update. The updated fields will be displayed in the respective module details page.
