SMS Templates


You can create SMS templates to send predefined messages to Temps and Contacts. The templates created can be stored under particular folders for easy categorization.

Note: The SMS Add-on feature has to be enabled to create, edit or delete SMS Templates and Folders. 

Create SMS template:

  1. Click Settings > Setup > Templates > SMS Templates. SMS Templates page is displayed.
  2. Click +New Template. New SMS Template page is displayed.
  3. Select the Module from the drop-down list.
  4. Enter the Template Name in the respective text box.
  5. Select the template folder from the Store Under drop-down list.
  6. In the Email Template Body section, do the following:
    • Select the module from the Available Merge fields drop-down list.
    • Select Field from the drop-down list.
    • Copy paste the Copy Merge Field Value in the template body and enter the required message.
  7. Click Save. The new SMS template is displayed in the SMS Templates page under the SMS folder.
    Note: Template Name and Store Under fields are mandatory.
Create SMS template folders:
  1. Click Setup > Templates > SMS Templates. SMS Templates page is displayed.
  2. Click New Template Folder. Create SMS Template Folder page is displayed.
  3. Enter Folder Name in the respective text box.
  4. Specify additional information about the folder in the Description text box.
  5. Under
     
    Share This With,
     
    select one of the following options:
    • Everyone: To enable the folder access for all the users.
    • Only me: To enable the folder access only to you.
    • Selected users: Select the users or user roles that can access the folder.
  6. Click Save. The new template folder is displayed in the SMS Templates page.
    Note: Folder Name field is mandatory.

Note:
  • Only the Admin can create SMS templates for Temps and Contacts. 
  • Admin and Agent can send SMS to Temps and Contacts as Single/Bulk.
  • Only the Admin can give SMS add-on access to the Agents.

To Edit or Delete a template/folder:

  1. Click Settings > Setup > Templates > SMS Templates. SMS Templates page is displayed with existing SMS templates.
  2. Click Edit or Delete link next to the template name.
  3. In case of Edit, make necessary changes and click Save. In case of Delete, click OK.
