How to restrict comment visibility to owners, groups, or roles in Zoho Writer

Overview

Zoho Writer lets you control who can see specific comments in a shared document. Instead of every collaborator seeing all feedback, you can limit visibility to only certain people or groups. You can set or update comment visibility while adding or after posting a comment. By default, all collaborators can see comments, but document owners and reviewers can control who views them, including restricting replies to specific users.

Steps

  1. Click on the visibility option under the comment bar.

  2. Choose your desired visibility from the following options:
    1. All collaborators: The comment will be made visible to all the collaborators.
    2. All collaborators within org: Comment visibility is restricted to all the collaborators of the org.
    3. Specific roles only Comment visibility is restricted to specific roles
    4. Only me: Only the comment owner can view the comment.
    5. Custom: Custom settings will let you choose specific users or groups to view your comment.
