How to create blockquotes in Zoho Writer

Overview

Blockquotes help you highlight specific statements, excerpts, or pull quotes, making them stand out in your document.

Steps

Create a Blockquote from selected text

Select the text you want to quote.
A tool palette will appear.
Open the dropdown and choose Quote.
Click Add Quote.

Create a BlockQuote using templates

Go to More > Format.
Under the Paragraph section, click the Quote icon.
Choose a template from the available Pull Quote styles.

Troubleshooting

1. Error/Symptom: Quote formatting not applying
Possible cause: No text selected or conflicting formatting.
Solution: Select the intended text again or clear existing formatting before applying the quote style.

2. Error/Symptom: Template not appearing
Possible cause: Panel not expanded.
Solution: Reopen More > Format and ensure the Paragraph section is visible.
